Lukashenko builds a secret, armored hideout near Sochi

According to investigators, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko is building a secret hideout in Russia. According to the Belarusian Investigation Center, a luxurious and heavily secured complex is being built in the Caucasian resort town of Krasnaya Polyana near Sochi, which is intended to serve as a refuge should he have to leave Belarus.

Officially, it is a hotel project, but according to the center's findings, it is a fortified residence with VIP apartments, villas, saunas, swimming pools, and guarded areas.

The complex is protected by a steel fence with impact-resistant reinforcement, drone protection, thermal imaging cameras, and radiation detectors. Each building has its own security room, the site also has an armoury and is only accessible through an armoured gate.

The headquarters is located in a protected area where construction work is officially prohibited. The project, which Lukashenko is building on land that originally belonged to the Belarusian state, according to Polish journalists, suggests possible plans to flee to his ally Vladimir Putin.
