Ukraine seeks money for gas ahead of winter and simultaneously launches weapons production
Ukraine must raise $750 million to purchase gas before winter, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced.
Following the recent intense Russian attacks on gas infrastructure, the government plans to increase gas imports by 30 percent.
At the same time, he announced the establishment of offices for arms exports and joint production of military equipment in Berlin and Copenhagen. Export products will include domestically produced naval drones, artillery systems, and missiles named Flamingo and Ruta, with series production scheduled to begin later this year.
On the front lines, Zelensky pointed to the buildup of Russian forces near the city of Dobropillia, where the Ukrainian army had previously advanced. He also said that the situation in the Pokrovsk area was difficult.
