Ukraine to audit state enterprises after corruption scandal
Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced on Wednesday that her government will audit all state-owned enterprises, including energy companies. The decision came after a massive corruption scandal that led to the suspension of two members of the government.
"We are preparing a comprehensive solution for all state-owned enterprises, including energy companies. We are conducting an audit and have instructed the supervisory boards to check the state of work, especially in the area of procurement," the prime minister said in a video posted on the Telegram platform.
The audit is to focus on compliance and elimination of corruption in the state sector.
