Greene blames Trump: I'm facing threats after his attacks

Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has accused US President Donald Trump's comments about her of causing a wave of threats and putting her at risk of personal attack.

She used to be one of Trump's staunchest supporters, but after a split in opinion, the president branded her "crazy, a traitor and a disgrace to the party" and publicly backed the idea that a new Republican should run in her district. Greene links Trump's attacks to a surge in aggression from radical internet trolls.

The rift escalated ahead of the vote to release the files on the Jeffrey Epstein case. Greene accused the president of lying and trying to intimidate Republicans. The White House has not yet responded to her accusations.
