The blast that destroyed a railway line on the Warsaw-Lublin line on Sunday was sabotage, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said on Monday. "The explosion of an explosive device destroyed the railway line," he wrote on the social network X.
"Rescue forces and the prosecutor's office are working at the scene. On the same route, closer to Lublin, they have also detected damage," he specified.
On Sunday, local police confirmed the damage to the railway line, which was reported by a train driver.
Warsaw has repeatedly stressed in the past that its role as Ukraine's centre of assistance in the war makes it a target for acts of sabotage. Moscow has repeatedly denied any such acts.
