Trump and Vance were not invited to Dick Cheney's funeral
US President Donald Trump and his Vice President JD Vance were not invited to the funeral of Dick Cheney, the former US Vice President who died at the age of 84.
The funeral was held at the Washington National Cathedral with several former presidents and high-ranking officials in attendance, including Joe Biden, George W. Bush, Kamala Harris and Mike Pence.
Cheney has long been a vocal critic of Trump - speaking out strongly against both his claims of a rigged election and the attack on Capitol Hill. In the 2024 presidential election, he endorsed Trump's opponent, Kamala Harris.
There was only a brief announcement from the White House about knowledge of Cheney's death; Trump has not commented on the event. While Vance expressed his condolences, he did not fail to mention the political disagreements.
