Ukraine says it repulsed Russian advance in northern Pokrovsk
Ukraine has announced that it continues to control the northern parts of the city of Pokrovsk, where heavy fighting is ongoing. According to Kiev, its troops are succeeding in holding back the Russian advance, inflicting significant losses on the enemy and deploying specialised drone detachments.
Moscow, meanwhile, claims to control up to 70 percent of Pokrovsk and the entire town of Kupiansk, which Ukraine categorically denies.
According to Ukrainian sources, Russian troops have repeatedly attempted to cross the railway line to extend their control over the territory, but these efforts have reportedly been repelled.
At the same time, the independent mapping group Deep State has confirmed that the Russians have crossed the line twice, most recently on 20 November.
Russia currently controls approximately 19 percent of Ukrainian territory and is making advances in the Zaporizhzhya region in addition to Donbas.
