He also criticized European countries that have failed to do so despite his urging them to stop taking Russian oil.

On Sunday, representatives of the United States, Ukraine and European states met in Geneva. They discussed a draft of the US 28-point plan to end the Ukraine-Russia war. Trump has given Volodymyr Zelensky until next Thursday to comment.

After Sunday's summit, Zelensky responded that the U.S. proposals may contain several elements based on Ukrainian perspectives and critical to Ukrainian national interests. "Further work is going on to make sure that all the elements are really effective in achieving the main goal that our people expect: to finally put an end to the bloodshed and war," he added.
