Polish prosecutor's office charges third person in railway sabotage case
The National Prosecutor's Office of Poland has brought charges against Volodymyr B. for aiding and abetting recent sabotage of railway infrastructure. Investigators said that he facilitated the perpetrators to carry out the crime by helping them with reconnaissance of the terrain and preparation of further actions. The court decided to remand him in custody for three months, PAP reported.
Volodymyr B. is the third person charged in the case. The prosecutor's office has already charged two citizens of Ukraine - 39-year-old Oleksandr K. and 41-year-old Yevheniy I. with knowingly committing acts of sabotage with a terrorist character for the benefit of Russian intelligence services. They face a life sentence.
Four other persons have been detained as part of the investigation. Three were subsequently released, one faces charges of concealing documents.
