Orbán wants to discuss Russian oil and gas, hints at trip to Moscow
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán announced plans for key talks on Friday on securing Russian oil and gas supplies to Hungary. These supplies could also be used to supply Serbia, he said.
Orbán has not yet revealed where the talks will take place, but several news agencies have reported his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.
At the same time, he expressed Hungary's willingness to get involved in the activities of the Serbian energy concern NIS, which is, however, under US sanctions. He stressed that the decision on the future of the refinery remained entirely in Serbia's hands.
