Two Russian Shadow Fleet tankers in the Black Sea hit by Ukraine

Ukraine has damaged two Russian tankers with naval drones in the Black Sea. It was a targeted attack on vessels of the so-called shadow fleet, which help circumvent sanctions on oil exports, an official of Ukraine's SBU security service said.

The tankers Kairos and Virat were heading empty to the port of Novorossiysk when they were hit by explosions near the Bosphorus on Friday.

Both tankers were seriously damaged, according to the SBU. Ukraine says it is a strike against Russian funding of the war.
