Russia is considering selling more S-400 systems to India

India is interested in further purchase of Russian S-400 Triumf anti-aircraft systems after their successful deployment during Operation Sindoor, TASS news agency reports.

Moscow is considering this option, Dmitry Shugaev, head of the Russian Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation, confirmed. The Indian military's interest is considerable, he said, with the systems proving extremely effective. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also praised the importance of their deployment.

Interestingly, even Western analytical institutions admit the S-400's high effectiveness - up to 90 per cent, which far exceeds the estimated effectiveness of the US Patriot system.

Discussions on further deliveries are taking place ahead of the planned Russia-India summit to be held in New Delhi on 4-5 December. Russian President Vladimir Putin will also visit on that occasion.
