The most read Wikipedia article for 2025 was Charlie Kirk's profile

Wikipedia has published its annual ranking of the most read articles in English for 2025. In first place is a profile of Charlie Kirk, the conservative commentator who died after the university attack, reports Euronews.

His page received almost 45 million hits, with 15 million clicks coming just a day after his death. More than 40 percent of readers were from abroad.

In second place was an article about deaths in 2025, which is regularly among the most read. Third was a profile of serial killer Ed Gein, whose story was brought to life by Netflix's Monster series.

Donald Trump took fourth place, once again making the top 10. The fifth most viewed article was a profile on the new Pope Leo XIV. In total, people spent approximately 2.4 billion hours on Wikipedia in 2025.
