Democrats get footage of Epstein Island, plan to release it
Democrats on the U.S. House of Representatives Oversight Committee have announced that they have obtained new, previously unreleased photos and videos from Jeffrey Epstein's island, Fox News reports.
The materials, they say, reveal a disturbing look behind the scenes of Epstein's crimes and were obtained following a request to the Virgin Islands judiciary. The committee also received documents from the banks of J.P. Morgan and Deutsche Bank.
Members have promised to release the selected files once they have been reviewed. Back in November, President Donald Trump signed into law the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which directs the Justice Department to release all unclassified documents and investigations related to Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
Documents with victims' names or other sensitive information may be redacted. The committee wants to ensure maximum transparency and "justice for victims," according to its statement.
