Zelensky: antennas are being installed on rooftops in Belarus to guide Russian drones

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has warned that Russia is trying to bypass Ukraine's defences through Belarus, where it is reportedly using residential homes to guide drones.

According to Ukrainian intelligence officials, they are installing antennas and equipment on the roofs of buildings in border areas to help Russian shahid-type drones target western Ukraine. The President has warned that Minsk is risking its own security and surrendering sovereignty to Moscow.

The military staff also discussed new strategies to protect against air attacks, including investment in interceptor drones.

Zelensky also expressed concern about the possible deployment of the nuclear-capable Oreshnik hypersonic system in Belarus. The latter, according to US analysts, has been moved to a former airbase in the eastern part of the country.

Neither the Belarusian nor the Russian ministries have yet commented on the allegations.
