Ukrainian MPs under investigation by NABU anti-corruption office

Ukrainian anti-corruption authorities have uncovered an organised crime group including active members of parliament during a covert operation, Ukrainska Pravda reports.

According to the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO), the group systematically obtained undue benefits in exchange for votes in parliament.

Specific names have not yet been disclosed, but high-level political circles are being targeted. The investigation is ongoing and further information is awaited.

The case comes at a time when Ukraine is facing pressure to step up the fight against corruption - which is also a key condition for continuing the EU integration process.
