Spanish football coach tragically killed in boat accident in Indonesia

Spanish football is in mourning. Valencia CF Femenino B coach - Fernando Martín Carreras - tragically died along with his three children after their boat capsized in rough waters off the Indonesian island of Labuan Bajo.

According to local authorities, the incident took place on Friday when the vessel, with 11 people on board, was caught in extreme weather conditions. Search teams at the scene continued their search on Sunday.

Valencia expressed deep sorrow, Real Madrid joined in the condolences. Martin, a former Spanish second league player, only this year became coach of Valencia's women's B-team.

Rescue units managed to rescue his wife and one of his daughters, as well as several crew members, including a chaperone.
