Ukraine deploys new Patriots, supplied by Germany as aid

Ukraine has expanded its air defence with two new Patriot systems, which it received from Germany. The defence ministry in Kiev said the systems have already been deployed to protect cities and critical infrastructure.

This is part of the previously announced military aid promised by Berlin in August 2025. Germany has agreed with the US to be the first to receive the new systems in exchange for those it provides to Ukraine.
