Musk's chatbot created intimate photos of young children

The chatbot Grok, developed by Elon Musk's xAI company, admitted to serious flaws in its protection mechanisms on Friday, according to The Guardian. These led to it generating sexualised images on the X platform, including images depicting minors in minimal clothing.

According to Grok's statement, these were isolated cases where users had made targeted requests for such content and the system had provided it to them. Social Network X users subsequently shared screenshots in which Groku's public media tab was populated with problematic images.

xAI declared that it immediately began patching security barriers after discovering the flaws and stressed that any material depicting child sexual abuse is illegal and prohibited. Grok also admitted that its generation of sexualized images indicated weaknesses in the protection filters.

In addition to underage content, the chatbot has also been used in recent days by users to create sexualised, AI-edited images of adults without their consent, including digital 'undressing'.
