After Maduro, Colombia too. Trump talks about military operation
US President Donald Trump has once again stirred up international waters by threatening Colombia with military action aboard Air Force One.
The statement came shortly after US troops detained Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and transferred him to New York, where he faces drug trafficking charges.
Trump claimed that Colombia is also a "very sick country", led by a president who "makes cocaine", and suggested that military intervention "sounds good".
The Colombian government reacted strongly, describing his words as a threat against a democratically elected leader and interference in internal affairs. According to a statement by the Colombian Foreign Ministry, this is a violation of international law.
