Transgender attacked with a hammer at JD Vanca's house
The family home of US Vice President JD Vance in Cincinnati has been the target of vandalism. It was broken into on Monday night by 26-year-old William DeFoor, who reportedly identified himself as a woman named Julia, the Telegraph reports.
He smashed windows and damaged a Secret Service vehicle with a hammer. According to police, he is the transgender child of prominent Democratic donors.
DeFoor has had run-ins with the law in the past. He was sentenced to psychiatric treatment for a similar offense in 2025. The motive for the attack is not yet known.
Vance was not home at the time of the incident, but his family had been there the weekend before. The attacker was arrested at the scene.
The area around the house has also hosted demonstrators in the past protesting Vance's stance on Ukraine.
