Zelensky and Macron discuss defence and diplomacy

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported on a meeting with Emmanuel Macron in which he stressed the need to strengthen Ukraine's air defenses as a key element for protecting its people and infrastructure from continued Russian attacks.

He stated that diplomacy and real aid must go hand in hand, with each delivery of defence systems increasing the chances of a peaceful solution.

The meeting took place ahead of the "Coalition of the Willing" summit in Paris, which brought together heads of state, ministers and representatives of international organisations.

Zelensky, in the conclusion of a status posted on the social network, thanked Macron for his leadership and willingness to help Ukraine.
