NASA and SpaceX set the date for the return of the Crew-11 crew to Earth
NASA said on Friday that, together with SpaceX, it plans to undock the Crew-11 mission from the International Space Station (ISS) no earlier than Wednesday, January 14, at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time (11:00 p.m. CET). However, the date may be postponed depending on weather conditions.
Earlier this week, NASA announced that it was considering an early return of the crew from the ISS due to "health concerns" regarding one of the astronauts.
The agency had previously canceled a planned spacewalk and, according to statements, is prioritizing the safety of all mission participants. The affected astronaut is stable, but his name has not yet been released.
Crew-11, consisting of two Americans, a Japanese, and a Russian, arrived at the ISS in August, with their return scheduled for May.
NASA does not usually disclose the health complications of astronauts and considers these cases to be strictly confidential.
