Kyiv faces water and heating outages, repairs complicated by severe frost
On Saturday, Kiev was left without electricity, water, heating, and public transport after Russian bombing. The city administration announced that the state operator had ordered a complete power cut so that repairs could be carried out.
Basic services such as heat and water distribution, as well as trams and trolleybuses, were also affected. It is not yet known how long the outage will last.
On Friday, half of Kiev's apartment buildings were already without heating after the previous attack. Temperatures have dropped below -10 °C, which significantly complicates the situation.
Kiev residents are facing difficult conditions in the middle of winter, while rescue teams are trying to restore basic infrastructure.
