Footage of protests leaks out of Iran, regime speaks of "terrorists"

Iran responds to US President Donald Trump's threats of a preemptive strike with threats of retaliatory attacks. Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf warned that US bases and Israel could become targets. Tehran also accused the US and Israel of inciting violence and declared three days of national mourning.

President Masoud Pezeshkian accused "Iran's enemies" of arson attacks and warned against rioters.

State media broadcast the funerals of security forces and showed body bags labeled as victims of "terrorist acts." Footage from cities such as Tehran and Mashhad shows massive protests, explosions, and damaged streets.

Demonstrations in support of the Iranian protests were held in the US. In Los Angeles, a truck crashed into a crowd, injuring several people.

According to experts, the regime remains strong, albeit weakened. The UN calls for restraint and respect for fundamental rights.
