Iran blames US for violence, UN warns of loss of control in the country
Iranian authorities have accused the US and Israel of being responsible for the bloodshed accompanying protests in the country. According to them, Washington is deliberately destabilizing the regime.
The Iranian ambassador to the UN warned that US President Donald Trump is inciting violence and violating sovereignty. The regime also confirmed the number of victims – more than 2,000 dead and nearly 17,000 arrested.
In an interview, Trump threatened "very harsh measures" if the detained protesters are executed. Independent sources report that the execution of one of the young protesters is scheduled for Wednesday.
Communication in the country is complicated by limited internet access. The Holistic Resilience organization announced that Starlink is available free of charge in Iran.
International reactions are escalating: Russia warns against external interference, Europe responds with diplomatic pressure, and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz openly questions the regime's survival.
