Musk: SpaceX has stopped unauthorized use of Starlink by Russian forces
SpaceX CEO Elon Musk announced that measures taken to restrict unauthorized use of Starlink satellite internet by Russia appear to have been successful.
He was responding to Ukraine's concerns that Russia is using this technology to guide attack drones in strikes on Ukrainian cities. According to Musk, SpaceX is monitoring the situation and is prepared to take further action if necessary.
Ukrainian Minister for Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov has previously confirmed that Kyiv is working closely with SpaceX on this issue after Ukrainian forces detected the presence of Starlink terminals on Russian long-range drones.
Fedorov also stressed that Western technologies should be used to protect civilians and support the democratic world, not to spread violence and destroy civilian infrastructure.
