Medvedev: The West is threatening with Greenland, but a world war cannot be ruled out

In an interview with Reuters and Russian media, Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, dismissed Western claims of a Russian or Chinese threat to Greenland as fabricated "horror stories."

According to him, Western leaders are using these scenarios to cover up their own actions and to strengthen unity within NATO. At the same time, however, he warned that the international situation is extremely tense and, in his words, the world is becoming a more dangerous place.

Russia is reportedly not interested in being drawn into a global conflict, although it does not consider the complete exclusion of such a possibility to be realistic.

Medvedev also spoke about Venezuela, where he described the United States' actions against ousted President Nicolás Maduro as a violation of international law. According to him, Washington would certainly consider a similar intervention against the American president an act of war.
