China can help end the war, says Sybiha
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha invited his Chinese counterpart to visit Ukraine and said that China could play an important role in finding a just peace in the war with Russia.
They met on the occasion of the Munich Security Conference. Sybiha appreciated Beijing's declaration of support for Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty, describing the talks as factual and pragmatic.
In its official statement, the Chinese side confirmed its willingness to provide further humanitarian aid to Ukraine, but did not mention an invitation to Kyiv.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi also said that dialogues on the Ukrainian crisis are progressing and that China is ready to play a constructive role in finding a political solution.
However, Beijing continues to maintain close economic and security ties with Russia and has not joined Western sanctions against Moscow, raising questions about its true neutrality.
