Trump gives Iran ten days ultimatum, otherwise it faces US strike

US President Donald Trump warned Iran that if it does not reach a "meaningful" agreement on its nuclear program in the coming days, "bad things" could follow. He indicated that the decisive period would last approximately ten days.

Although he said that "good talks" are underway, Washington is also massively strengthening its military presence in the Middle East, with aircraft carriers, warships, and fighter jets heading to the region.

The US is demanding that Tehran completely halt uranium enrichment and limit its missile program, which Iran has long refused to do. The tension is also reflected in the markets, with oil prices rising after Trump's statements.

Meanwhile, Moscow has warned against an unprecedented escalation and called for restraint. The situation is further complicated by joint Iranian-Russian naval exercises in the Gulf of Oman.
