AI video of Hungarian soldier’s execution: Orbán plays the war card

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s ruling Fidesz party has released an artificial intelligence-generated video ahead of the elections that carries a strong emotional charge. It depicts the execution of a Hungarian soldier on the front line and follows the story of his young daughter, implying that an opposition victory could drag Hungary into a war beyond its borders.

The spot explicitly claims that “Brussels” wants to turn the nightmare into reality and urges voters not to take risks.

Opposition leader Péter Magyar of the Tisza party described the video as repulsive and manipulative, declaring that Fidesz had crossed all boundaries of political struggle. According to political scientist Péter Krekó, the strategy is based on stoking fear of an external threat.
