BBC: Tehran residents describe night of explosions

After another wave of attacks, residents of Tehran described a night filled with loud explosions and fear. A man in his thirties told the BBC that his house shook continuously for five minutes and that last night was the worst so far. He said he had hardly slept because of the constant explosions.

Because of the ongoing internet outage in Iran, contact with people in the country remains very limited, although some have managed to reconnect with their surroundings for at least a short time. Their identities are not being disclosed for security reasons.

A woman from the Iranian capital said she had been awakened by explosions at 5 a.m. and had been unable to sleep since. Another described the attack as extremely powerful. According to her, the tremors shook all the windows and the sound resembled ‘the roar of a dragon’.
