Epstein FBI files released with allegations involving Trump

On Thursday, the US Department of Justice released FBI records related to the investigation of the late financier Jeffrey Epstein. The documents include a summary of statements by an unnamed woman who, during interviews with agents in 2019, made unverified allegations involving President Donald Trump.

FBI agents interviewed the woman four times. In an earlier summary, she said Epstein had sexually abused her as a teenager. According to the newly released materials, she alleged that Epstein introduced her to Trump in New York or New Jersey in the 1980s, when she was between 13 and 15 years old. She claimed Trump then attempted to force her to perform oral sex.

The White House did not immediately respond to the release of the documents. However, according to Politico, White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt described the woman’s claims as ‘completely unsubstantiated allegations without credible evidence’.

The Justice Department also said some of the documents contain false or sensational claims about Trump.
