Two drones crashed at Dubai International Airport
Two unmanned drones crashed near Dubai International Airport on Wednesday, injuring four people. According to the emirate’s media office, the injured include two Ghanaian nationals, one Bangladeshi and one Indian, the latter suffering moderate injuries.
Authorities said Dubai International Airport (DXB) continues to operate without interruption.
The incident comes amid an ongoing security crisis in the Middle East. The conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran has disrupted air traffic across the Persian Gulf region for the past twelve days.
Several countries, including Qatar, have closed their airspace amid fears of missile and drone attacks, forcing airlines to reroute flights or cancel services.
The tensions have also affected energy markets, with fuel prices rising according to available data. Although airlines based in the United Arab Emirates, including Emirates and Etihad, are gradually resuming services, they continue to operate below normal capacity.
