Kremlin accuses Britain of role in Bryansk missile strike
The Kremlin has accused Britain of involvement in a Ukrainian missile strike on the Russian city of Bryansk that killed at least six civilians and injured dozens more.
According to spokesman Dmitry Peskov, the use of British Storm Shadow missiles would not have been possible without the involvement of British specialists. Moscow therefore says it takes London’s role seriously and will take it into account in its further actions.
Ukraine presents a different version of events. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the target of the strike was an important military plant in Bryansk that manufactures electronics for Russian missiles. According to Kyiv, the operation targeted military infrastructure rather than civilians.
The Russian Foreign Ministry described the strike as deliberate and called on the UN to investigate the incident. London has not yet commented on the allegations.
Russia has long claimed that Ukraine uses Western technology, satellite data and expert support in attacks deep inside its territory.
