Trump calls on oil-importing nations to protect Hormuz
On Saturday, US President Donald Trump once again called on other countries to help secure the Strait of Hormuz. He said the United States would cooperate with them as part of the US–Israeli war against Iran.
‘The United States has defeated and completely decimated Iran – militarily, economically, and in every other way, but the countries of the world that receive oil through the Strait of Hormuz must take care of this passage, and we will help them greatly in doing so,’ the White House chief wrote on his Truth Social platform.
He promised that America would ‘work with these countries to ensure everything proceeds quickly, smoothly, and without problems. This was always meant to be a joint effort, and now it will be – it will unite the world in the pursuit of harmony, security, and lasting peace.’
