Switzerland denied two overflights by US aircraft
The Swiss government announced that it had reviewed requests from US military and government aircraft to fly over the country’s territory. In accordance with its neutrality law, it rejected two requests but approved three.
‘The Neutrality Act prohibits overflights by parties to the conflict that serve military purposes related to the conflict. Humanitarian and medical overflights, including the transport of wounded persons, as well as overflights unrelated to the conflict, are permitted,’ the government said in a release.
