Zelenskyy warns Russia aiding Iran with drone supply

Russia is supplying Iran with Shahed drones for use against the US and Israel, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said during a Saturday interview with CNN, calling it a ‘100-percent fact’. According to him, Iran has used them to attack US bases.

Iran was a pioneer of Shahed drones, which are a much cheaper alternative to expensive missiles. They were first used on a large scale during Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Although Tehran originally supplied these drones to Moscow, Russia now manufactures its own versions of the unmanned aircraft.
