Seoul will carefully review Trump's request for warships

The South Korean president’s office said on Sunday that it would carefully consider US President Donald Trump’s call for allies to send warships to secure the Strait of Hormuz.

‘We will communicate closely with the US on this matter and make a decision after careful consideration,’ the office said in a statement.

This was a response to Trump’s statement on Saturday, in which he called on other countries to help secure the Strait of Hormuz. He declared that the US would cooperate with them as part of the US Israeli war against Iran.
