Iran denies targeting civilians and points to Israeli role

Iranian state media reported on Sunday that, according to Tehran, Israel may be behind attacks on civilian targets in Gulf countries.

Iran’s foreign minister, Abbas Arakchi, denied that Iran had attacked civilian or residential areas in the Middle East. He said Tehran was prepared to establish a joint commission with neighbouring countries to investigate responsibility for such attacks.

Meanwhile, the British broadcaster Sky News reported that, according to the Iranian minister, American-made drones may have been used in the attacks. However, he did not provide any evidence to support the claim.
