Trump dismisses Zelenskyy's offer on drone defence

President Donald Trump said the United States does not need Ukraine’s help in intercepting Iranian drones in the Middle East.

In a telephone interview with NBC News, he was responding to an earlier offer from President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who had said that Ukraine was ready to assist the United States and its allies with its experience in countering unmanned aerial vehicles.

Trump said that ‘Zelenskyy is the last person we need help from.’ At the same time, he declined to answer whether Washington has used, or is considering using, Ukrainian technology to intercept drones.
