Iran arrests alleged Israeli informants across the country

Iranian security forces have detained dozens of people across the country on suspicion of collaborating with Israel. According to local media, the alleged informants had been providing sensitive information about military and security facilities, as well as economic infrastructure.

In north-western Iran alone, authorities arrested about 20 people, with another ten detained in north-eastern regions that have so far been less affected by air strikes.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards claim that Israel, together with the United States, is attempting not only to carry out military operations but also to activate espionage networks and destabilise the country from within. According to Iranian authorities, such agents are intended to stir unrest and spread propaganda.

Sources familiar with Israeli military strategy suggest that Israel is increasingly relying on information from informants inside Iranian territory during its attacks.

Tensions in the country are also being heightened by recent anti-government protests, which the regime suppressed during one of the bloodiest crackdowns in the history of the Islamic Republic.
