Iran: US–Israeli strike on Natanz uranium enrichment facility

Iran said the United States and Israel struck the Natanz uranium enrichment facility on Saturday. According to the Atomic Energy Organisation of Iran, there were no casualties or radiation leaks.

Tehran described the incident as a violation of international law and noted that it was not the first attack on its nuclear infrastructure. The Israeli military, however, said it had no information about a strike on Natanz, adding to uncertainty surrounding the incident.

The Jerusalem Post reported that Iran had strengthened security at the key nuclear site even before the war. Satellite imagery reportedly showed extensive fortifications of the tunnel complex.

The facility had remained undamaged during the previous conflict, although most other sites were hit.
