Israel destroys bridge in Lebanon
Israel destroyed a bridge in eastern Lebanon on Friday, Lebanese media reported. The Israeli military had warned it would target two bridges in the area to prevent the movement of Hezbollah reinforcements and published a map showing the structures about 100 metres apart.
Hezbollah continued to fire volleys of rockets into Israel, causing damage in the northern village of Gesher Haziv in the western Galilee. A drone launched by the group from Lebanon also caused damage in Metula.
According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), one of the salvos included several rockets fired at Haifa on Friday night. No injuries were reported. The IDF said Hezbollah fires hundreds of rockets a day, although most are directed at Israeli forces operating in southern Lebanon, with only a few dozen projectiles crossing into Israel.
