US envoys Witkoff and Kushner could visit Ukraine

US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner could visit Kyiv in April, Kyrylo Budanov, a senior adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said on Saturday. The remark referred to efforts to revive peace talks with Russia that have stalled since the outbreak of the Gulf war.

‘Kushner, Witkoff, Lindsey Graham – these are the ones we expect. Who else will be there – we’ll see,’ Budanov told Bloomberg, adding that the meeting could take place shortly after Orthodox Easter on 12 April.

It would be the first official visit to Kyiv for Witkoff and Kushner, who have previously met Ukrainian officials in the US but travelled to Moscow for talks with Russia.
