Iranian drone burns petrochemical plant in Bahrain

A fire broke out at a Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company facility following an Iranian drone attack. According to the government agency, the fire was brought under control, and the incident resulted in no injuries. The damage to the facilities is currently being assessed. It is still unclear how extensive the damage caused by the attack is and what further impact this will have on production.

GPIC is one of the largest producers of petrochemicals and fertilizers in the region and a joint venture between the Government of Bahrain, SABIC Agri-Nutrients of Saudi Arabia, and the Kuwait Petrochemical Industries Company.
