Hungary and Serbia on alert, explosives found near gas pipeline
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has announced that serious security risks have emerged following a phone call with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.
Serbian authorities found explosives and devices to detonate them near key gas infrastructure linking the two countries.
According to Orbán, this is a critical incident that requires an immediate response. He has therefore convened an emergency defence council in Hungary to assess the situation.
At the same time, however, it is not yet clear who was behind the discovery or what the specific target was.
