China wants permanent visa-free regime with Russia

Chinese Ambassador to Moscow Zhang Chan-hui has expressed support for the permanent establishment of a visa-free regime between Russia and China.

According to him, the current measure has brought benefits to the people of both countries and contributed to the development of mutual contacts.

The visa-free regime allows travel for short stays of up to 30 days and operates on the principle of reciprocity. It was introduced by Russia at the end of 2025 and is limited to September 2026.

China allowed visa-free entry for Russian citizens slightly earlier.
