Libya Approves Unified Budget After Years of Division

After more than a decade, Libya has moved toward financial unification. The two rival legislative chambers, the House of Representatives and the Supreme Council of State, have approved a joint state budget, which has been confirmed by the central bank.

This is the first such step in more than 13 years, during which the country has operated with separate administrations in the east and west. The move could help stabilize public finances, according to reports.
