Britain Says Ukraine Could Help Secure Strait of Hormuz
Ukraine could play an important role in securing the Strait of Hormuz, British Armed Forces Minister Al Carns suggested. He highlighted Ukraine’s advanced drone technology, which he said had proved its worth during the war with Russia and now ranks among the world’s best.
Kyiv has already taken part in international consultations and sent hundreds of experts to help, for example, neutralize Iran’s Shahed drones.
Carns also stressed that Ukraine remains a priority for British defence, with London keen to draw on its combat experience, particularly in artificial intelligence and data analysis.
He also called on Kyiv to accelerate exports of its military technology, warning that Ukraine could soon be overtaken by competitors if it does not take advantage of current global demand.
